Funeral Services for Billie Bilbrey, age 78, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Eugene McCowan, Bro. Caleb Bilbrey, and Bro. Zach Hull will officiate with interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Bilbrey was born on Thursday, October 2, 1947, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late James Furd Emberton and Grayce Couch Emberton Pirtle. Mrs. Bilbrey passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Bilbrey served as a woman who found joy in life’s simple blessings—browsing yard sales for treasures, tending to her flowers, and spending afternoons rocking on her front porch with her little pup, Ellie. She loved filling her home with gospel music, cooking meals that brought her family together, and making memories with her precious great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Known for her spunky personality and playful spirit, she had a way of making everyone around her smile and laugh. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love left an imprint on the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the stories we share, the love she gave so freely, and the countless memories we will cherish forever. She was survived by her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve Bilbrey of Monterey, TN, and Roger and Angie Bilbrey of Monterey, TN; grandchildren, Megan (Landon) Oakley, Caleb (Bailee) Bilbrey, Courtney (Jesse) Raines, Katie (Zach) Hull, Abby (Kyle) Gilpatrick, and Parker Bilbrey; great-grandchildren, Joyanna Bilbrey, Brady Gilpatrick, Hattie Raines, Samuel Hull, Josiah Bilbrey, Levi Gilpatrick, and two more on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Bilbrey; sisters, Emogene Nash, Margie Stamps, Sara Turner, Opal Dale, and Beatrice Ashburn; and brother, James Henry Emberton.
