A graveside service for Florence Marleen Lee, age 78, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was conducted on Monday, March 29, 2021, at 11:00 am CST at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Livingston, Tennessee. Rev. Rob Wheeler officiated at the graveside service. Mrs. Lee was born on October 10, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Edith Shaver. Mrs. Lee passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at West Hills Health and Rehab in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mrs. Lee had been a middle school English teacher and an insurance private investigator. She enjoyed music of all sorts, and she was a member of a Knoxville senior women’s chorus. She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband of 44 years, Richard “Dick” Lee. She was survived by: Two sons: Derek Lee of Knoxville, Tennessee, Andrew Lee (wife Ashley) of Maiden, NC; Three grandchildren: Zander Lee, Zane Lee, Zoe Lee; Beloved In-Laws that were more like brothers: Fred Lee of Parkersburg, WV, David Lee (late wife Bonnie) of Columbus, OH, John Lee (wife Heidi) of Cookeville, TN; and Several much-loved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lee’s love of music, gardening, and her passion for those she loved will live on in her family members. In Lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to the Esther Lee Welch Elementary Education Endowment Fund at Tennessee Technological University.
