Funeral Services For Emanuel J. Hostetler, Age 46, Of Monterey, Tennessee, were conducted on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 10:00 AM at The Pilgrim Christian Fellowship, 3068 Muddy Pond Road, Monterey, Tennessee. Pastor Jake Troyer and Pastor Martin Horst officiated and interment followed in The Weeks Cemetery. In loving memory of Emanuel J. Hostetler August 30, 1975 – June 6, 2022. Emanuel J. Hostetler was born August 30, 1975, in Etheridge, Tennessee, to Joe and Anna Hostetler. He was the oldest of seven siblings. On February 29, 1996, he and Fannie Zook were married in Glasgow, Kentucky, and moved to New York. Emanuel and Fannie were raised in an Amish home and community, but as a young couple with six children, they felt the Lord heading them in a different direction. In 2009, they moved to Burkesville, Kentucky, to a Mennonite fellowship. The years spent in Burkesville were busy times of raising the family and working hard to support them. While there, Emanuel joined the local fire department and rescue squad, and found so much enjoyment in it. He was actively involved there until his death. In the fall of 2020, the family moved to Monterey, Tennessee, to be more closely involved in their local fellowship. Emanuel traveled widely with his work and is lovingly remembered by many friends and his family as a man who would selflessly help others and put their needs above his own. Emanuel leaves behind his parents and siblings, his beloved wife of 26 years, and 10 children, Mahlon, Levi, Anna and Melvin Stoltzfus, Amanda and Daniel Troyer, Moses, Joe, Emanuel Jr., Anthony, James, and Lisa; and 2 grandsons, Jaxon and Weston Troyer; and 1 grandchild due in October. Emanuel will be deeply missed, and his passing is grieved by those who have been impacted and changed by his life. Through faith in Christ alone, we believe that he has now heard the words, “well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.” John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 2 Timothy 4:7, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Serving as Pallbearers were Mahlon Hostetler, Levi Hostetler, Moses Hostetler, Joseph Hostetler, Daniel Hostetler, and Eli Hostetler. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Daniel Troyer and Melvin Stolzfus.
