Blake Huddleston

Funeral Services for Blake Huddleston, age 38, of the Vine Ridge Community, were conducted on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Norman Sampley officiated and interment followed in the Smellage Memory Gardens. Blake was born on Saturday, June 21, 1986, in Cookeville, Tennessee, to Mike and Lisa Sampley Huddleston of Cookeville, Tennessee. He passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Blake worked with Walmart in Cookeville for 15 plus years and with Perdue Farms until it closed. He was a Cookeville High School graduate class of 2005 and attended Monterey Church of the Nazarene. He was a kindhearted and giving person, never met a stranger and always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone. In addition to his parents, he was survived by his wife affectional known as “My Love Wifey”, Chrissy Huddleston; stepchildren, Austin Alpers of Springfield, MO, Kaylee Alpers of the Vine Ridge Community, Nate Alpers and fiancée, Maddie of Sneedville, TN; maternal grandparents, David “Poppy” and Mary “Nana” Sampley of Monterey, TN; paternal grandfather, Ted Huddleston of Buffalo Valley, TN; step grandchildren, Emma Martin, Erik Alpers, and due Monday, May 26, Sage Ophelia Dawn Alpers; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Becky Huddleston; nephew, Joey Huddleston; aunts and uncles, Norman and Sandy Sampley, Risa Hanson, David and Kay Huddleston, Donnie and Peggy Huddleston, and Gary Huddleston; mother-in-law, Carol Clark of Joplin, MO; sisters-in-law, “Aunt Mandy” Millard, Theresa Francis, and Kady Clark; brother-in-law, Michael Clark; special friends known as his “brothers”, Josh Thornton and Doug Cherry; and a host of great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family members. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Huddleston; uncle, Bruce Huddleston, and father-in-law, William Millard. The family received friends at Goff Funeral Home on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM.
